My monthly labs have returned and once again, my cancer is in remission. For this I am deeply grateful. I don’t have much, regarding my health, to complain about.
Rational Christianity
A few kind people have asked me what I mean by “rational Christianity.” I have written a comprehensive, but not exhaustive, explanation of what I mean in a four-part posting on my other (Christianity Reimagined) blog. If you are interested, here are the links to the articles:
What is a Christian Rationalist?
Part I: The Historical Perspective
Part II: This Christian Rationalist’s MO
Part III: History Revisited, The Critical Years, 1750-1855
Part IV: Epistemological Approach
You are welcome to come, and I understand that likely no one in today’s religious culture will agree with me, and I am fine with that. So, there is no need to tell me that I’m wrong. I just ask for the same high respect that I have for you and your perspective.
On Writing
I mentioned that I was working on three novels. I’ve decided to focus on one titled Papyrus # 127. This story has a female archeologist who finds a papyrus in the Italian Herculaneum site, which turns the world upside down. It is edgy enought to, I hope, catch the eye of an agent this time next year.
I learned today that my novel, The Stones of Yemen is being made into an audiobook for Audible by Amazon. I have an audio version now, but it is not on Audible. I will post when that is available. I listen to almost all of my books due to an eye problem. It also helps me to “read a book” while out working on the cottage. Speaking of which:
The Healing Cottage:
I will create a new video by next Monday. A patient magazine was interested in doing a story about this project, however (embarrassing), I accidentally sent them the wrong file (a personal letter with the same name) with my information. They must have thought I was a nut case. So, I’ve submitted a new article, and we will see where that goes.
Thanks so much for your visit and support.
Mike
