Well, after 5 months of worsening cancer numbers, I’ve now have had two months of improving numbers (light chain lambda proteins down to 111, was 138 in august, normal is below 20), and improving kidney numbers with a est. GFR of 28.3, (closing in on half of normal). But, this is without any changes in my main chemo. My oncologist has shifted my visits and blood tests to every 90 days, rather than monthly. One chemo that I did monthly to protect my bones has now ended (after two years). So, over all, things are better than expected. I’m feeling pretty good except for unexplained back pain, which many of you must experience and GI problems from my present chemo, which many of you with IBS must experience. So, while I’m very happy about the improving numbers, regarding special or new problems, thank goodness there’s nothing to write home about … or even to blog about. So happy for the great news Mike!! I wish you and your family a very warm season filled with positive energy. Keep writing..waiting for news on your new book Retribution. I remember reading you are working on another so I’m not sure if I missed any updates on this one. 🙂

Oh..I think I see where maybe Retribution was renamed The Mills of God? Just trying to do some catch up here. I have a close friend who is struggling with Breast Cancer that she has been fighting off and on for years and has now spread. She believes the continuation is due to so much stress surrounding her missing daugther who went hiking 3 years ago and has yet to be found. She believes foul play is involved. So..that kind of stress could definitely cause relapses. I shared this because she also has great humor as you are sharing about Cancer and its journey. I respect you both for not only your strong fighting spirit ( yes I understand the dark days ) but it is so inspirational to see that beyond the darkness you both share humor and a spirit of kindness and love.
