I’ve uploaded episode 3 of my “Cancer Cottage / Healing Hut” Youtube series. Again, this is mostly story telling about the adventure up until this point. This episode discusses the excavation and foundation part. When I get caught up to where I am now, I will make that clear if you want to wait and join me then.

I am happy that after three months, yesterday the roofer finished putting on the metal roof. This metal roofing rust naturally to give that old look I’m looking for. The roofing that was put up first has rusted more than the part they did yesterday, but the colors will blend in time. I am now finishing wrapping the cottage and then I will work on windows and doors. After that, I will focus on plumbing, wiring, and insulation. That will take me until next summer. Then, God willing, I will start putting up the stonework and stucco.

No, I don’t have delusions of grandeur that a lot of people want to watch this simple guy doing mudane chores in building a stone cottage each week. If anything I suffer from delusions of unpretentiousness. But making videos gives me something else to do and a hermit needs all he can to chase away the self-pities and sad thoughts.
