I am pleased to announce Amazon has created an audio version of my book, The Stones of Yemen and is became available today.

When I published the book a year ago, it would have cost me $10,000 to have an audiobook produced by Audible (voice actors are not cheap), so I used another company (still expensive) to produce an audiobook. The final product was of questionable quality, per the feedback. Only 9 units were ever sold.

To my surprise, Amazon reached out to me and thought The Stones of Yemen was worthy of an audiobook version, so much so, they offered to produce it at no cost to me. That audio version is of a better quality than the previous one and is available on the Audible and Amazon platforms. I had asked Amazon to charge the lowest possible price. Writing books for profit has never been my goal. But like any artist, having my work in front of as many eyes, and now ears, as possible is my reward.

Footnote: Thanks for your concerns about my health. This week as been a struggle as I continue to battle salmonella with related septicemia. The septicemia phase, appears to be gone, but have still been quite ill with slow progress. The good news is that I haven’t had to go back to the hospital. No work on the cottage this week, at least so far, and that’s disappointing. But I was able to proof the new audiobook for Amazon, and today? Taxes! Things I can do in the prone position.
